Even at my worst days, I have learned to be thankful for the problems I have.
Recently, I had a “bad day”. Our tv went out and I spent hours purchasing a new one and setting it up in our home. When I had the new tv set up, there was a green line running through the picture. Ugh – that meant that all of my hard work that morning of going to the store, setting up the tv was for nothing! I didn’t have time to do this all over again. I had other things to do!!
While at the store waiting to exchange the bad tv for a newer tv, I realized that my “bad day” was really a “GREAT day”.
First, I was fortunate that I had the cash in my bank account to buy a new tv. Second, I had extra time because I don’t work every day with my new job. My time was completely in my control and I could determine how to spend my day. Wow – what an eye opener!
I went home and installed the newer tv without complaining or being upset about the time I “wasted”. Then, I took a few minutes to be thankful and realized my day was GREAT!
- My mom arrived that afternoon to spend Easter with us.
- My retired husband was spending the day with me.
- Both daughters would be home after work and school.
When you have a bad day, next time analyze what is going on and then decide if you are really have a GREAT Day!
Talk to you soon,
Kathleen
