Superbowl PartySuperbowl Party – Earlier Game Time

The Superbowl has meant “party” to me for over 30 years. In high school, our church youth group would watch the game together. Years later when my kids were little, we had super bowl parties at our house. Today, my husband and 2 kids watch the game together.

Why no more party?
When giving a party at our house, I could never watch the game or enjoy the commercials! I was constantly entertaining which was ok for a few years. But, I was always so tired the next day having to go to work. There was not enough time to recover from being the only person in my house working the Superbowl party! Plus, the game was over way too late. Today, our immediate family watches the game while we have special snacks and food. But, the good news is that I don’t have to entertain or clean after everyone leaves late into the night. I can even change into my pajamas and watch the game! Heaven.

I am sharing this because the Superbowl should be moved to a Saturday night or should start earlier on Sunday.

Certainly I’m not the only person who would enjoy the Superbowl party more if the game ended earlier?

Would love to know your thoughts.

Best,
Kathleen
